You support babies and kids from Preschool through 8th grade and their parents and caregivers by presenting and developing engaging programs and activities. You assist with outreach in the community and aid in connecting with teachers. You also connect our library guests with the information they need, helping them feel comfortable using our resources and expanding their world by enthusiastically sharing about our collections and services.

  • You enjoy a good laugh.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, a minimum of two- years’ experience working with children in a learning environment and a minimum of one year working with the public. Courses or experience in education is a plus. Experience facilitating storytimes is preferred.

The salary is $20.28-24.37 depending on experience. Benefits include IMRF pension plan, health, dental and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, 8 paid holidays, 10 vacation earned per year, 12 sick days earned per year. The position works 37.5 hours/week including days, evenings and weekends.
